What if we valued people around us for who they are? What if we accorded people with the same dignity and respect God has showered on us? What if we saw in them the image of God? As we talk with people or tell others about them, what if we affirmed the impact their contributions (real or potential) make? How would making these ‘what ifs’ a reality transform their lives, your relationships, and the world around you? Who can you love, serve, and affirm today? How can you use your words to make a positive difference in someone else’s life today?

Prayer: God, help us affirm the value and contribution of family members, friends, and co-workers. Let our words revitalize people and give them a fresh perspective on who You have created them to be. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
